It's All About The Sausage Roll & Supporting Our Communities
If you’re reading this, you’re already half way to entering the adult Great North East Sausage Roll Off 2025, so, let’s start with the email you’ll need to message to get your entry form and rules of entry:
Now you’ve emailed to get you’re entry form, read on to find out more of what The Great North East Sausage Roll Off is about and why Foodie Book Club CIC is using it to help our communities.
What’s not to like about a sausage roll? Rich flaky pastry with a filling of pretty much anything you want. Imaginations can run free when it comes to adding a middle to the roll, and it’s this imagination that we’re hoping will attract people to bring their sausage rolls along to compete with others on August 30th 2025 at The Charles Attwood Club, Wolsingham.
Entering the Great North East Sausage Roll Off is about having fun, but it also means that you’ll be helping to combat isolation and food insecurity in our communities.
Food insecurity is a significant problem in the North East of England, with the region experiencing some of the highest rates of food poverty in the UK. Walking alongside food insecurity is isolation.
Foodie Book Club CIC raises money to fund the projects we organise.
